Ellie helps Ulster Schools Interprovincial Team secure Bronze in Dublin
The Ulster Schools Interprovincial Team travelled to the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin on Saturday 23rd March with an exciting contingent of some of their best age group athletes, to take on Leinster, Munster and Connacht for the annual Irish Schools Interprovincial Championships. Selection for the team was based on the Swim Ulster Schools Cup and Championships gala in February.
Ellie Dunlop represented Enniskillen Royal Grammar School at the Ulster's and won the 100m Breaststroke title and therefore was selected for the second year in a row.
Ellie competed in the 100m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle Relay and 50m Medley Relay.
In a high speed race, Ellie was happy to finish 3rd fastest 15yr old in 100m Breaststroke.
Ellie was delighted to be able to represent Enniskillen Royal Grammar and Ulster.
While Leinster retained the Schools cup this year, Ulster achieved third place overall.
A fantastic event well organised with a tremendous atmosphere, more fabulous experience for Ellie who is looking forward to competing at her next gala, the prestigious McCullagh International Open, 11th to 14th April at Aurora Aquatic & Leisure Complex Bangor.
