We are delighted to announce that the Club has appointed Aaron Rickhuss to the Head Coach position with the Lakelanders. Aaron has competed at all levels from being a former County Record Holder through to being an England International Youth Medallist, as well as picking up British Youth and Senior medals along the way. Whilst swimming under Jon Rudd at Plymouth Leander, Aaron found a passion for coaching where a coaching role was offered. Whilst mentored by Jon, Aaron gained the experience of being part of a coaching team that produced many Olympians, an Olympic Champion and a World Record Holder. As well as that, coaching the next generation of swimmers was also a success.

In the most recent season, Aaron has coached swimmers to multiple South West Regional medals, three of which were gold, as well as success at this years British and English National Summer Championships. There was also a rise in amount of qualifying athletes at various events as well as building the participation of competitive swimming at younger levels.

Away from swimming, Aaron’s interests include watching the football, in particular Plymouth Argyle and spending time at the beach.

Aaron has indicated his excitement to be part of the progression of an already growing team, building and discovering talented swimmers as well as developing swimmers in a positive and thriving environment at Enniskillen Lakelanders.

Aaron is currently working his period of notice with his current employer, and we hope to be able to confirm his start date shortly. In the meantime, we continue to be indebted to our hardworking volunteer coaches, who, alongside Chelsey are providing interim cover. We are looking forward to having Aaron on board, and we are sure that his leadership, skills and expertise will be a great asset to the Club.
